Taurito Gran Canaria
Taurito Gran Canaria, also known as “Lago Taurito Oasis”, is a very calm place, bordered by two cliffs with a very nice central area surrounded with hotels and a BIG pool complex in the middle. So, if you are looking for a quiet place and not to party, it is the place for you!

Taurito General Information
Still, as the southern (and the general) area of the island is easily reachable by various means of transportation, the party zone is comfortably close.
It is one of those small and really cute oasis type places with everything around that you might need while on vacation. There are tennis courts, jogging circuit, squash courts, mini-golf and a very nice playground for children. As mentioned previously there is a central complex of connected pools. I should add that the pool is public but there is an entrance fee of somewhat below 10 euros for adults. However, it’s really beautiful and the kids will enjoy the slides so it’s worth checking out.
Taurito beach is smaller then the neighboring Puerto Mogan but is a god bet to relax in a fine dark sand sourced from the ancient volcanic activity on the island. As the beach is nicely sheltered it’s an ideal place to take children to. As for beach activities other than basking in the sun and swimming there is a local diving center and a pedal boat rent office.
It can be reached by turning off the GC-500 between Puerto Rico and Puerto de Mogan. There are regular bus lines and taxi services that can take you all over the island.
If your choice is not Taurito, but would still like to visit to check out the beach or the “grande” pool area, I might add that there is a large underground car park available too if you rent a car.
Hotels in the area
Taurito is packed with 4 star hotels and time-share arrangements. Some of the hotels include a free bus ride to nearby places and markets.
The most prominent hotel in the area is “Playa Taurito Princess Hotel” followed by the “Suite Princess Hotel”.
“Lago Taurito Hotel” and “Costa Taurito Hotel” are also 4 star hotels and as such an excellent choice.
